Hey Nate, sorry about your unfortunate departure from academia. However I'm a glutinous lout who hungers for the Tales of the Solar Clipper and anything from the Lammas Wood lol . I am pretty much in the same situation as you. The world of work quit me and I have a lot more time on my hands and less capitol. Your stories are a treat for me during times like these, so be encouraged that although its not fun to lose a job, you can devote your time to something you are obviously passionate about. Keep em coming Nate, they are appreciated and they are constant source of joy.

Excellent news! The world (especially my family & I) need more Tanith Fairport novels!
We just completed a road trip (550 miles each way in 3 days) & find your stories a preventative measure that helped stave off "white-line-fever" -- we had to stay alert to not miss any nuances!

We've enjoyed all your podiobooks.com publications. Thank you, thank you, thank you & best luck for the future -- keep the podcast fires alive!

Thanks Caroline.

I normally find fiction written by men with female leads very tiresome as well, which is why I didn't try it for a long, long time. A couple of my first readers challenged me to fold it into this NaNoWriMo challenge, and I'm glad I did. I really like Tanyth and can't wait to find out what she gets up to next.

Welcome to my worlds, Caroline, and I hope you continue to find good things to read here.

My mother, would you believe, recommended this to me. I thought I'd give it a go and I was very impressed.

I normally find fiction written by men with female leads very tiresome, but this was excellent, and the narration spot on. Loved it so much I then subscribed to the Solar Clipper podcasts (not a normal genre for me) and find them equally gripping.

Thanks for making such wonderful worlds.

Darn it Nathan! Now I don't know if I'd rather be sailing the skies in a futuristic clipper ship, or living contented in Ravenwood working the clay quarry. Both these worlds are vivid and enticing.

Great story, I too tried very hard to limit my consumption but ended up racing through the whole story in a weekend.

I just finished the Ravenwood book which I downloaded from itunes/podiobooks and I wanted to say that I was so very pleased with your wonderful tale. You have captured perfectly the concept of the crone and brought her to life so vividly that I have trouble believing that you were socialized as a man! All of your characters are rich and well developed. I also very much enjoyed the descriptions of the simple everyday tasks such as baking bread, chopping wood and watching over the children. I, of course, was constantly reaching for my teapot throughout the listening! Thank you so much for sharing this book with us!

That's a good point.

I actually set him up to be "faceless" -- all the kids are. I wonder if that was the right decision.
