Ravenwood

A Tanyth Fairport Adventure
By Nathan Lowell

Ravenwood Cover Art

Tanyth Fairport makes one last pilgrimage in her quest to learn all she can about the herbs and medicinal plants of the world before settling down to write her magnum opus. Her journey is interrupted when she stops to help a small village and learns that much of what she knows of the world may not be quite as it seems.

This is not another science fiction novel set in the Golden Age of the Solar Clipper, but a fantasy set in a whole new world where magic is madness and adventure isn’t something you seek out.

I love all your stories. You read them so well. I have listened to them each at least twice and shared them with many friends.
Many of us are truly impressed with the Blessings of Tanyth Fairport. Is there any place where they are in written form?
Thank you for so many hours of enjoyment. Please keep them coming.

There isn’t but I keep promising to put them up here on the site and I haven’t.

Thanks for the reminder. Lemme see if I can remedy that.

Hi Nathan,

having a great time with Ravenwood! One minor niggle with regard to chapter 13/14, which I just heard earlier today: Near the end of ch- 14 Tanyth is tying up all of the mint she and the kids picked with some string that “Mother Aldridge left behind”. This struck me as odd, since I first expected that she’d use the ball of string she got from Amber. On second thought, wouldn’t she have a lot of eminently suitable strings left over from all of the old herb bundles she took down?

Regards,
Thomas

Hmm… I’ll look at that, it’s been awhile since I wrote that and I haven’t been back to it for awhile.

Dear Nathan,

I have just discovered Ravenwood and I love it! What are the other Tanyth Fairport adventures and where can I find them? No luck on ITunes or podiobooks – or maybe I not looking in the right place. I absolutely love books like this and I would hate to miss out if there are more like Ravenwood out there.

Kind regards,

Rachel

I haven’t written the sequel to Ravenwood yet.

It’s planned for late fall, early winter! 😀

Nathan —

I’ve been a huge Kindle fan of your Solar Clipper Tales (and no, I am *not* going to ask), and have become enchanted with Tanyth and her world. I’ve especially enjoyed the descriptions of the foods and medicines she has available to her. As you assist with bringing her story to the masses (in the midst of all of your other writing adventures), do you think there might be an opportunity on the Lammas Wood site to expound further on her world’s cuisine and herbology (perhaps a modicum of insight from Tanyth’s magnum opus), provided she’ll share her secrets with you ? ?

I love your Golden Age of the Solar Clipper stories. While desperately waiting for Double Share to come out, decided to give Ravenwood a shot. Really love the book! It proves you are a master story teller and not just stuck in HyperSpace. I can’t wait for the sequels. 2012 will be a busy year for me if you get all the books in your back log out in eBook form.

Today commences the celebration of my Birthday Week. My husband and I feel birthdays are too important to be celebrated on just one day. Much to my delight, today’s gift was an autographed copy of Ravenwood. Thank you Nathan Lowell for being a part of my celebration! And thank you for sharing Tanyeth with all of us. I look forward to reading her further adventures!

Nathan, Thanks for the ‘Golden Age of the Solar Clipper Trader Tales’! I know many were disappointed in the ‘Owners Share’ ending, but I felt it was apropos. With all Ismael had been through, it was time for him to leave the Iris. I’m sure we haven’t seen the end of Ismael. I really enjoyed the way you let my imagination ‘see’ the facial expressions of the characters. Really enjoyed watching Ismael grow up. Thanks again! Listening to ‘Ravenwood’ now. WIll definitely be looking forward to Zypheria’s Call. Safe voyages.

Greetings, I have listened to your Ravenwood story several times and have enjoyed it greatly each round of listening. I would like to ask if I may borrow (and modify) the blessings you have written, and incorporate them into my own rituals?

Thank you! I had stumbled across the “Clipper” & “Ravenwood” series @ Amazon and have become a fan. I have since downloaded any of your books that I have found and looking forward to more GEMS. No pressure or requests as I know there are many other people already doing that to you. Be well.

Patience is a virtue they say but it is going to be very difficult waiting for the next delightful adventure

I just discovered Ravenwood on podiobooks. There is nothing like ending your day with some chamomile tea and seeing what Tanyth is getting into.
